There are a few design details we’ve been especially drawn to lately, not necessarily because they’re the newest trends, but because they add personality, texture and character to a space.

1. Stone Veneer

We’ve been particularly drawn to stone veneer, especially in kitchens. Used on a feature wall, it can create a beautiful focal point without overwhelming the space. Its natural variation in shape, texture and tone brings warmth and depth, adding an organic element to an otherwise refined kitchen.

We love how it can give a kitchen a sense of character and history, making the space feel more layered and collected rather than overly polished.

2. Moody Moments

We’re loving the look of moody wallpaper paired with open shelving, especially in bar areas and smaller spaces.

The darker backdrop adds depth and gives the shelving a moment to stand out, while the wallpaper brings in pattern and personality. It’s a simple detail that can make a functional space feel much more intentional.

3. Rethinking Hallway Lighting

We’re also loving the shift toward wall sconces instead of relying solely on flush mounts in hallways.

Wall lighting creates a softer, more inviting atmosphere while giving us another opportunity to bring shape, texture and personality into a space.

Ultimately, we love when a home feels considered without feeling overly designed. It’s about bringing together the colours, materials and details that speak to you to create a space that feels uniquely yours.
